Upcoming Update (Beta 0.1?)

By the end of June, I'll be launching the first major update to Steam Work!
Why will it take so long? Mainly because it will be a truly *MAJOR* update, more than tripling the gameplay experience!
Thanks to some helpful feedback, it'll include:
- Introductory Text (especially explaining the doors locations)
- Changes to overheating system to make it more manageable
- Bug fixes involving heat subtraction while the player is spamming a button
- New Wealth Counter [done]
- Item Descriptions [done]
- Minimap recoloring [done]
In addition, I'm also:
- Retexturing the wire tiles [done]
- Adding a checkpoint to the start of each level after level 1 [done]
- Fixing bugs involving various upgrades, balancing them [done for now]
- Adding enemy drops [done]
- Indicating status effects (like Cone Snail poisoning) through a visual effect on Bo (the robot) [done]
- Adding 2 new levels, complete with new enemies, new bosses, new upgrades, new mechanics, and even a shop! [Lv2 done, starting Lv3]
- Implementing volume options
- Composing music/sfx for the title screen, boss fights, new floors, and shop
It'll be jam-packed with new content and things to do. In a future update, I might be able to make a save system, but I'm not sure if that's a reasonable goal. Speaking of goals, my aim is to hopefully have 5 levels done before the end of July, at which point I'll re-evaluate what I'm doing. This might stay a free project, it might end up turning into a full-fledged game. Either way, it's been fun to work on!
